Add BMW Power to your Discovery 2 with our new engine conversion kit. This kit allows you to fit the BMW M54 series engines to your Discovery 2. The BMW M54 engine is a tried a true engine, plentiful, cheap and easy to acquire, easy to find replacement parts, and lots of aftermarket support make this engine a perfect power plant to swap into your Discovery 2.  Uses your existing zf 4hp transmission and lt230 transfer case. Our Electrical Module will get all your gauges working as well as retain your abs, tc, hdc, and air conditioning control. This kit does require you to purchase a bellhousing, torque converter and flex plate from and automatic 6 cylinder BMW E30 (3 series 83-94). Our kit includes all the other specialized parts needed for the conversion and come with a complete parts list of off the shelf items needed to complete the swap.

Emissions Disclosure:

This Engine Conversion kit is intended for off road use only. That being said, this kit can be made compliant by following federal and local emissions laws. Federal emission requirements state that the engine must be same year or newer than the vehicle it is going in to as well as retaining all the emission equipment the engine came equipped with. We will include some guidelines in the Installation guide to assist with making your swap legal. Please check you local emissions requirements before proceeding with this process.

Other Notes About Installation:

Front and Rear Drive shafts will need to be modified in length, This can be performed by a Driveshaft Shop. We can assist if necessary. Automotive electrical experience needed to complete swap.

Also Engine Kit has Only Been tested in the 03-04 Platform with Original THOR V8 and 4hp-24 transmission. We have allowed fitment room for the 4hp-22 but have not tested it.
